BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
The guest hereby acknowledges that all bookings and/or stays are subject to the following Booking Conditions and that all guests will be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Upon paying a deposit or settling balance in full, you acknowledge your acceptance and understanding of these Conditions.
The credit card used to make the online booking needs to be presented at check-in. We reserve the right to not refund card fees (transaction costs) in the case of any cancellation or situation where funds need to be reversed back to a credit card.
A copy of the cardholder's ID/ Passport is required on arrival.
DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS:
In order to secure your booking, we generally require a minimum 50% Deposit at the time of the booking. A full Deposit will be deducted for 1-Night-Only reservations as well as for bookings received less than 30 days prior to arrival.
The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days prior to arrival.
Deposits/payments can be made with Credit Card or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Upon request, a personal, secure Check-Out Link can be provided, which allows you to view/pay your account online.

Kindly enter your booking number and surname on the proof of payment as reference and e-mail the proof of payment to info@orange-ville.com.
Please note that your booking will not be confirmed until the proof of payment has been received and the amount reflects in our bank account. Please ensure that you enter the correct booking number as a beneficiary reference so that the payment can be correctly allocated to your booking.
KEY & BREAKAGE FEES:
In case of loss and/or damage, we reserve the right to charge the following key and breakage fees to your account:
- Guest Rooms: R1’500.00
- Campsites: R250.00
Please note that additional charges will be imposed if more guests than booked for are found to be utilizing the premises (without prior notice).
We also reserve the right to charge an additional cleaning fee to the guest’s account should a Guest Room or a Campsite/Ablution be found excessively dirty and/or any other unsatisfactory state.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
- If a booking is cancelled up to 60 days prior to arrival, 50% of the total price of the reservation will be charged.
- If a booking is cancelled less than 60 days prior to arrival, 100% of the total price of the reservation will be charged.
- In case of a No-Show, 100% of the total price of the reservation will be charged.
In the event of a refund being authorized it will be subject to a 10% service and administration fee charged to the account of the guest.
KEY / GATE REMOTE COLLECTION & DROP OFF:
Unless otherwise instructed, please collect and return your keys and/or remote at reception or from/to one of our Team Members at Orange-Ville Lodge & Guesthouse, situated at Swartstraat / Kylemore Road, Banhoek Valley, 7599 Stellenbosch (GPS Coordinates:: 33° 54' 49.122" S - 18° ‘56' 27.8664" E).
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT:
Check-In time is strictly between 14h00 – 18h00 (unless pre-arranged).
Check-Out time is strictly by 11h00 (unless pre-arranged).
Any Guest Room and/or Campsite that is not vacated by 11h00 will be subject to a surcharge of R250 per hour or part thereof, for each hour exceeding the check-out time. The same surcharge applies to all late arrivals after 18h00 and will be added to the guest’s account. Check-Ins/Arrivals after Midnight are not permitted.
PLEASE NOTE: We are generally Closed for Arrival/Check-In on the following days:
- Saturdays (during the Main & Peak Season)
- Good Friday
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Day.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
In order to preserve the tranquil, serene and peaceful atmosphere, we regret to inform you that large gatherings, parties and/or bachelors/ bachelorettes are not permitted.
Lost and found items will be kept in storage for a maximum period of 3 months. In the event of items not being collected, it will be donated to a charity of our choosing.
We are generally “pet-friendly”, provided that your pet is “friendly”. In other words, you are welcome to bring your pet as long as it is genuinely well-behaved and gets along well with other pets and people. We do ask that you clean up after your pet and that you are always mindful of our other guests. We respect the fact that not every guest is always comfortable around pets and therefore we reserve the right to request your pet to be leashed and/or ask you to please keep it away from public/communal areas such as our pools or breakfast room/patio if necessary.
Guests stay at their own risk and neither we (the owners/hosts) nor our staff can not be held responsible for any injuries that might occur at Orange-Ville Lodge & Guesthouse or on the property during their stay.
